93rd Annual Grady County Fair

Welcome to the 93rd Annual Grady County Fair located at the fairgrounds in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Parking and Admission were both free. There are many things to do at this event including:
4-H events- exhibits of technology, science & discovery, photography, food science, fashions & fabrics; livestock judging, and horse competitions.

A large variety of yummy food- Here is one of the menus at the Community Building for this years event -Pinto Beans with Ham Chicken Fried Steak Cornbread,Mashed Potatoes/Gravy,Fried Okra Corn/Green BeansTomatoes/Onions Tossed SaladDessert Hot Rolls Dessert. Also available...hamburgers, tacos and much more.

Cake Show-
The Grady County Fair Cake Show will be held on Thursday, August 21. Residents from across Grady County will be in the running for the honor of baking the grand champion cake. This year's winners will be taking money to the bank. The two Grand Champion winners will receive $100.00 each and the two Reserve Grand Champion winners will receive $50 each.

Fair Princess-
The Grady County Fair board will host the 18th Annual Grady County Fair Princess Contest on Monday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grady County Fairgrounds. Contestants are sophomore, junior or senior girls who are enrolled in or attend classes on a full-time basis at an accredited public, private, or home-schooling program in Grady County. Each contestant will be judged on talent, evening gown and interview. The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma will provide a scholarship to the Grady County Fair Princess for a full tuition waiver for one academic year estimated at $2,500. USAO will also provide an $1,800 tuition waiver for one academic year to the First Runner Up. The reigning princess will assist at all events and activities during the county fair, including all livestock shows, cake auction and entertainment area. Throughout the year she will represent the Grady County Fairgrounds at all promotional events, the Chickasha Christmas Parade, and other activities.
